agree somewhat
I agree Motorola got the d1 so right it was bloat free open and a great phone for people to get into android while learning how to root etc. That bugger was hard to brick. But this even with a locked bootloader would draw me in why because the hardware is top notch and will easily make it through a year without feeling to old.
I would honestly buy a G1 before this phone. Unless the bootloader is unlocked so I can run a real ROM on it. The hardware is sexy as f*ck I'm not going to lie, but it's just simply not worth it to me. I have been suffering with this awful Droid X for a couple months now and was forced to switch back to my Incredible because of lack of real custom ROMs. Motorola got it SOOOOOO RIGHT with the OG Droid and then RUINED it with blur and the bootloader. WHY MOTO WHY!!!! I wish OEMs and carriers would realize that there is in fact ways to go about letting us unlock phones without them loosing money........ sigh until I find a nice dual core phone that can be rooted and nand unlock then I'm going to wait it out.
