After getting sick and tired of waiting for updates and waiting for Verizon to get off their ass. I rooted and running BAMF GB Sense 3.0 with the new(official) radio. Not sure what took me so long.

I have to admit, it's addicting. I feel like I should be in a support group. I started out thinking "Man this BAMF ROM is really cool" and then suddenly, I was browsing forums, and adding more .zip's to my SD card, perusing different kernels, and now I have a full blown addiction.

I had done it millions of time with my OG droid and my incredible, just never found the need to do it on the thunderbolt. But after weeks of delayed updates and reboots I figured it was finally time to not have to wait for my phone to work as advertised haha

Agreed. i have been rooted for about 5 days now, and i am trying out my 5th ROM.
Das bamf 3.0 with MR2 has been my daily driver.
CM7 when i want AOSP, but having "cell standby" eating my battery, cant seem to fix
liquid thundersense didn't agree with this phone
liquid thunderbread was similar to CM7, same issues
cant think of the name, its a sense ROM with pretty much everything sense stripped out and AOSP in its place. it was nice, but it was just a slower CM7 to me
going to be giving gingeritis a try next

i am really looking for a sense 2.1 ROM with 3.0's weather app/widget,mms, and twitter widget and lock screen....keeping the 2D sense rosie and all that. 3.0 is nice, but it seems to use more battery. and has some quirks i just dont like much.

I'm just like you, I just rooted a few days ago and also am totally addicted! I've been through 3 different ROM's so far, and 3 different radios, trying to find the right combo for my phone. Right now I'm running Gingeritis 3D with the latest radio build from Chingy. I haven't tried out the MR2 radio with this room yet, but am curious how it will fair to the rest.

So far the MR2 is working fine with the BAMF rom, I haven't been able to go outside and test the GPS but I assume it'll be fine.

Have you tried Gingeritis 3D v1.0 Beta VI at [ROM] [MikRoms] Gingeritis 3D v1.0 Beta VI [07-25-11] New Gingerbread Base!! ? The developer is user a new build that seems to make system even smoother than the old leak build.
