Finally experiencing some issues

Not that I'm happy about them. I'm not. Quite the opposite actually. But I've had 3 random reboots and 4 power downs (without any indication it had done so) in the past two days. This is unacceptable. And yes I reflashed a stable ROM, I'm not overclocked anymore, and I went back to the stock kernel. Still did it.

Looks like I might have to exchange, or, gasp, get the Sensation. Problem is that phone will probably have some launch bugs too.

Yep thought about that too. Things are a little better since I went back to stock kernel. I'm thinking that when I used it I had the min setting too low.

Gonna try it again with different settings.

Word on the street is the fix will be out in 2-3 weeks. I was really only having reboot issues on the leaked gingerbread. Stock 2.2.2 has always been good to me. A reboot here and there every few days. Usually i dont even noticed because it happens when im not using the phone and it reboots so fast lol..

Thats what I went back to when I returned my 2nd G2X.

I actually picked up another MT4G on Craigslist for $120 too
(why ? I dunno, I guess because of the price).

We cant be more than 3 weeks away from the Sensation launch.

Had this happen to me today too. Turned itself off and could not be rebooted. Had to do a soft-reset in order to get it to work.

I found a barely used Galaxy S 4G on ebay for $300, so I think I may return the G2X and save my upgrade for the Sensation. Not sure yet though. We'll see how it goes for the next week.

No I don't have the myTouch.

I still have almost two weeks if I decide to return it. I'll give it some more time and see what happens.

Update: signed bootloader on the sensation kills that phone for me. I'm not messing with gold cards and stuff.

Oddly enough, I have been noticing that the connectivity issues a few others have mentioned is getting WORSE the longer I have the handset. It was totally fine for the first few days, but the last two or three its been much, much worse.

Did you try the factory reset trick people are talking about? It supposedly helps with that a lot and have stopped those issues for some.

I did that on the 1st and 2nd G2X's I had and it didnt help at all.

Yes and no improvement. Like I said with my first one, its particularly bad with a weak connection.

Why oh why cant I stay off Craigslist ?
Picked up a G2X for less than half what T-Mobile is selling them for.

I'm back with the G2X now even after all my whining.
Guess I'll sell one of the MyTouch 4G's.

they will start showing up on Craigslist for half price.
I probably wont do a contract for the Sensation.

Eh. Somehow I don't think that's going to happen with the Sensation.

I know HTC and like HTC, so I'm willing to do a contract for the Sensation. Besides, I can always keep the GS 4G I'm getting if I want to switch out.

I'm on my second G2x. I had to exchange the first one after if got progressively worse and one day wouldn't stop rebooting. My second one is starting to act up more and more so I may have to exchange this one before the update comes out. Hurry up, LG!

Am I the only one who has an amazing G2x that doesn't cause any issues? The only slight thing I've ever had is sometimes when the phone is locked, the screen won't come back on and then I have to battery pull to turn it back on. To be honest though, coming from a blackberry that really doesn't bother me as I was battery pulling it all the time anyway. Honestly I had a GS4G before this G2x and it gave me wayyy more issues than the G2x.
