Finally found the file version that works with xoom (tethering)..

I was really getting frustrated not being able to get my rooted Captivate to tether with the xoom. Well, I finally found a version of wifi-tether that actually works (xoom able to see my phone as an AP)...

Now my GPS works. Sweet!

Now I'm 50-50 on returning this device. I just need to get used to the screen.

Thank you so much for posting this. I have been looking for a while to find a way to get my epic 4g to tether my wifi xoom and this does work!

Get used to the screen? I know it doesn't compare to the samoled screens of our galaxy s phones but the more normal saturation I find is better for looking at pictures I've taken with xoom vs the epic

Have you already tried PDAnet? Did it not work for you? Is there anyone out there who's had any luck with this app?

I installed tethering app on my captivate and when i turn it on, I dont see my wifi signal on xoom. What steps did you perform to see wifi ssid on xoom?
