So I finally got my Galaxy S III with Sprint and I noticed that it keeps randomly turning on my wifi. Like whenever I would turn it off, it would turn on about 5 minutes later. Can someone tell me how to keep it off so it does not keep turning on and draining the battery.

Did you try and search? It's been posted about a dozen times... ;)
system settings / Wireless and network more settings. Scroll down to the bottom and choose mobile networks, choose automatic connections and uncheck sprint automatic connections.

I don't know....I kinda like how flawless and seemless it transitions from 3G to wifi while I'm at home.

Thanks I didnt really have time to look because I have finals now and I decided this would take less time and thank you.

It does sound cool but it gets really annoying when it keeps saying "there are available wireless networks to choose from" or whatever it says.

I know what you mean. The phone keeps telling you there are wifi connections available but 9 times in 10 when you check it out they are all password protected and not usable. I think most of us do as you have done and disabled it.

Yea I think so too. But other than that I love this phone!

It would be nice if it ignored locked connections which are new to the phone. I'm sure Sprint is desperate to push devices off their unlimited data network at all costs. Probably the only way it will remain unlimited, so I get it.
