Finally got the 360 today but very disappointed, right now it's just a watch.

Got the call from Best Buy today that the watch arrived so I went right up to pick it up.

I read where some people had issues with the initial setup with the watch not wanting to charge and that the best place to place it on the charger was on the initial language setup screen, well, I tried that, but placing it on the charger didn't work. Anyways, after some fiddeling around I finally got it to charge and it finished its update and let me pair it with my phone (Note 3) on which I installed Android Wear and Motorola Connect.

All the thing does right now is be a watch because eventhough it is connected to the phone it just won't connect through the internet safe for two occasions... 1. When it downloaded the update, 2. After I restarted the phone and reset the watch at the same time. Shortly after the internet was working, and shortly after that I see the dreaded cloud with the line through it.

I don't know what to do with it anymore. I reset it twice but it just will not stay connected to the internet. My phone has strong wifi signal throughout the whole house so I don't know where the problem is.

By the way, where do you find the settings as to which notifications I want to receive? So far I haven't gotten any.

Thanks.

Ok, so after restarting the phone again and launching android wear again, it finally worked after clicking on the little watch icon within the Android Wear app. Is that something we have to do every time we restart the phone?

No clue what you're talking about. The watch doesn't connect to internet it connects via Bluetooth to your phone. At least you got it working and shouldn't have to go through that process again.

No, ur watch was just not connected to your phone, once its connected it should automatically connect anymore

In the beginning it kept giving me messages that it's not connected to the internet, I guess that's when it was trying to download. Later on the app said the phone was connected but the phone said it wasn't. Either way, it seems to work quite nicely now.

Its a problem with the app and possibly the 360. Happened to me today. You can force close the app or reboot the phone. Sure it will get fixed soon. Annoying to ask the watch for directions and get the colorloop of doom.

Yeah it's definitely still pretty beta feeling. A good bit of laggy herky jerky going on too, but it sure is convenient and that's what I bought it for. Room for improvement? You bet!
