Hello, I've been contemplating on whether I wanted to switch my iPhone 6 for a Note 5 and I finally pulled the trigger. I love the performance, camera and appearance of this phone they are all top notch and I'm loving it! Only thing that I'm monitoring is the battery life. I have had it off the charge since 8 am and I'm at 33% at 6:41 pm after light to moderate use. That's not bad, at least I don't think it is, can someone comment on how good that is. I get comparing it to my iPhone 6 battery life which was great especially during stand by. Overall it has been great. Oh how I have missed android!

I have had mine a week and the battery seems good so far. Mine is at 76% now only down 24% in 9+ hours with light to moderate use today. If you have been "playing" with settings and installing apps your battery usually drains more.

I've installed a few apps not many only the few i need for my internship and my bank but I've mainly disabled the gimmicks and motion gestures in the settings.

A few things I noticed...turn of NFC and Bluetooth if you aren't currently using them...makes a big difference.

I am on my iPad with my phone at my side ha ha. I do not use auto brightness though using it is supposed to help the battery. I keep wifi calling and wifi on most times.

I've found my battery life has gotten a bit better from when I first bought it. I have turned off Bluetooth and NFC and made a few minor adjustments. I constantly get 5.5 hrs of on screen time now, compared to 4 or so my first week.

What were the minor adjustments? Also one gripe I have is actually how thin the bezels are on the phone. I keep hitting various parts of the screen accidentally. I like the narrow phone but it can get annoying.

EDIT: Funny thing is I have 4 hours and 50 minutes of screen on time and counting.

Re: Finally grabbed my note 5!

I keep my screen brightness low, disabled a lot of carrier bloat ware and the Facebook app. I felt like this was enough to give me pretty decent battery.

Great choice.

I can upgrade in October. So I will be getting the Note 6.
