Did anyone get another update to their Samsung phone. I received another Samsung update today. I'm locked on TMobile.
What was the version you got? I got a small update two days ago, September 25. It was the AXHF update, 417.55 MB with a Security patch level September 1, 2024.

TMobile, unlocked

are you saying S24U with 6.1 is actually OneUI 6.1.1? is there a way to validate some of the 6.1.1 features to ensure the 6.1 is really 6.1.1??
The new Galaxy AI section in Settings is added to 6.1.1, and 6.1 in phones.

I got the new 6.1.1 a couple weeks ago, installed and that was all fine.

Just this week I got another update, 6.1.1, which has an android security update for Sept 1, 2024, and the phone is now VERYYYYVYYYYYY LAGGGGGYYYY, screen transitions, and going to launcher, etc.. I’ve rebooted several times. Is there some setting that was auto enabled, or something hogging memory or something? Phone has been rock solid, fast, low battery use since purchase and now feels slow and laggy.

You might want to try clearing your cache partition. That will clean out some junk without touching your data.

Thanks.. is that a system cache clear out or apps? And if the former, kindly where is that?

Looks like we’re getting another update soon, so maybe there is a tiny update/fix.

• System Cache

The procedure:

• Turn off the device.
....
☆ Edit: The next ☆ step is necessary for Exynos model devices.

☆ Connect your device to a laptop or computer with an USB cable.
....
(Continue for all models)
• Press & hold the Volume Up & the Power keys
• When the Samsung Galaxy logo appears, release both keys.
• The android system recovery menu should appear. (In a tiny, tiny font)
• Press the Volume down key until you reach wipe cache partition.
• Press Power key to select wipe cache partition. Make sure you are on wipe cache partition & not wipe device.
• Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, then press the Power key to select.
• When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system should now be highlighted.
• Press the Power key to select reboot system.

If you have never done this before, you might want to watch a video on YouTube to see the procedure in action.

This might be a dumb question but why does this require hooking up to a PC or laptop? I've always just done it on my phones. Have I been missing an important step?

Only the Exynos models have to have their USB ports plugged into something to get into Android recovery. The Snapdragon models do not.

Those instructions need to be amended to note the differences.

Thanks for the clarification. I had no idea.
