OK so I was looking forward to 3.0 on the unlocked version for sevaral reasons but my main reason was hopes of having samsung native messages equipped with RCS.... HOWEVER nothing... I guess I will have to find a good video on how how to flash..... I do better with video instructions

I blocked updates last week on my unlocked model. I thought I'd wait & see how this update plays out.

At this point, I'm just taking notes on what's new & where some settings have been moved.

For me the update has been heaven sent. I know I'm in the Note forum but I saw the title and then your comment. I have the S20+ Unlocked and have hated it pretty much since day one. Unresponsive screen, slow to load apps, lost internet connection even on WiFi, features not working... on and on and on. The update changed all of that. The screen is snappier, possibly because of the new animations or just because. I don't know or care. Apps open like you would expect. I haven't noticed any lag with the internet. Haven't lost internet. Smart Lock is working. It really just feels like a different device. The only thing so far that I find more of annoyance than anything is the aspect ratio change in the folders. I went from 1 and 2 page folders to 2 and 3 page folders. I haven't found a solution to that yet. I kind of don't care for the volume slider being vertical now but I wouldn't call that an issue. The screen seems sharper too. That could be psychosomatic from the animations and the general change in my attitude about the device but it really feels like it just looks better.

All of that is why I clicked on this thread. I was hoping folks would be talking less about just getting the update and more about what they've noticed, liked or disliked about it.

So glad this update has helped your s20+ become more responsive & less problematic. It's miserable when your phone is more of an enemy than a friend, especially from day one.

I have been taking notes from the s20 forum users since they have had the update longer. I'll update my Note after Christmas when it's less hectic. I moved from my s9+ to the N20 Ultra & with the exception with a temperamental fingerprint reader, it has been a stable & reliable device.

Thanks for supplying your findings, the info is useful. Glad to know Smart Lock is working! I won't be overly thrilled regarding the folder change. The less pages of folders the better.

Again, so glad this update improved your whole s20+ experience. It's nice to hear something positive, seems like the majority of the time, all we hear is the negative.
:)
