Fingerprint reader a no go on Tmobile

So in years past we were able to either flash firmware to enable the fingerprint reader or buy the international model. With a little research it looks like there is no way to have either without losing VoLTE which is mostly what Tmobile is moving on band 12. Reception without would be terrible. I ordered the US xz1 but without the fingerprint reader, I think it's not worth the price.

Glad I seen this post, was going to order the international model for fingerprint scanner for T-Mobile. Without VOLTE it’s not worth getting it. Going to get the USA model. Thanks for info. Vinny ������������rn

No problem. It's a bit discouraging. I'm going to try it out and see if I fall in love with it enough to not let it bother me.. Lol

There's like 2 files you'd need to flash from the UK firmware to the US firmware to enable fingerprint and keep VoLTE/wifi calling. Check the XZ1 compact XDA forum or the SonyXperia sub on Reddit for details on how to do it.
