Fingerprint reader does not work while charging Samsung Galaxy S5 Android phone

Fingerprint reader does not work while charging the battery. However, it starts working the moment I pull out the charging cord from the phone.

Can someone give a fix for this issue. Thanks. KK

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the original charger?

Yes, using original Samsung charger.

The fingerprint reader is exactly on top of the slot where we insert the charging end.

It makes me wonder if something is defective around the charging port. You might have to bring it to a repair shop to check.
