Fingerprint scanner is horrible

I have taken off the pre-installed screensaver by Verizon. I redid t all my fingerprints. I did two fingerprints each with the two fingers I normally use. The scanner is horrible. It almost always times out and makes me wait 30 seconds, or use my security code. My pixrl was way better than this. The face recognition isn't much better. Any suggestions?

Warranty. It's either a defective scanner or your fingers aren't compatible with the ultrasonic reader. All other phones use different technology. I've had mixed results with my last 3 Samsung phones. My s10 was horrible, my note was decent and my s20 is acceptable. With this generation scanner I don't think it will ever compete with other scanners in speed. Hoping they come out with new hardware for the note 20.

Mine works great but yes its not as fast as some others or the face unlock on the pixel. But honestly how fast donu need to open your phone? The extra second or two is not gonna make a difference. If it can't read your print then u may have a defective one.

Lets hope for the "Qualcomm’s seriously upgraded 3D Sonic Max fingerprint reader." I like the render in this article and be happy if close to it
(but smaller than the Ultra).

I'm certainly getting more errors and misreads than the N10+. It feels like I went back to the S10+.
