Fingerprint to unlock not working...

Yesterday we went and got my wife the note 8. Set it all up works great except the unlock. It's on swipe although we registered her fingerprint set the unlock to pin and fingerprint and the fingerprint toggle is turned on as well. So before I go back to the store I wanted to ask here if there is a solution to this?

Using a case? Case was on when setup? a thick case can interfere with fp recognition.

It sounds like something defective in there to me.

the fingerprint unlock is iffy, i think mostly due of the location of the button. when the button is on the front vs. the back, it's a lot easier.

i say it works 50% of the time for me and it's rather frustrating.

well after a few days it seems to only work sometimes we got it at the AT&T store gonna go back later today. I got mine straight from Samsung unlocked and have no issues whatsoever.
