Fingerprint Unlock Requires Swipe

So recently i just realized that sometimes after unlocking my Mate 20 Pro with my Fingerprint, it requires an additional swipe to unlock. It was not like this few weeks back. Anyone having the same issue?

Do you have face unlock enabled? If so I suspect it is the face unlock beating the FPS.

I do have face unlock active. But in the settings i have Direct Unlock checked.so it shouldnt require additional swipes...

There is definitely something quirky about the Biometrics on this phone.

If the Face unlock was as consistent as the iPhone (which given the technology it should be) then the FPS would not even be necessary but it is not. I have posted on another thread that I'd estimate my FPS success rate as 50% and face unlock probably 80-90% of the time.

Face unlock is very consistent on mine. Works instantly. Fps works at least 70-80% of the time. No big issues on mine. Have you tried deleting and re-adding your face ID and fps?

It used to be normal when im using the flipcase. Everytime i open the flipcase face unlock works perfect. But now its miss and hit at times...

Erm. I have deleted and re added everything even formatting the phone. But its not really bothering me but i was just wondering why.
