Fingerprint unlock?

Hi,
So all of a sudden today, my unlocking process changed. Now when I unlock the phone, it zooms in on the wallpaper first, which may have always happened, however it takes 3-4 seconds for the use fingerprint to unlock message to come up, and in this time it will not scan my finger. This is making the unlocking process take 6-7 seconds which is really ridiculous and makes the fingerprint method of unlocking pretty pointless. Anyone have any idea why there would suddenly be such a delay between the screen turning on and it scanning my fingerprint?

Have you tried rebooting your device? Sometimes things just get hung up and needs a reboot to refresh.

Yeah that was the first thing I did. Funny thing is that it doesn't seem like a mishap, it's consistent in the time it takes and the text fades in quote naturally, as if its supposed to take that long to initialize.

Did u mess with the developer options? Sounds like animations may be set to x5 or x10
