Fingerprint?

After last night's t mobile galaxy s6 update my phone will not allow me to place a password without verifying my finger. It has never done this before. I never use fingerprint verification. I used it once a year ago but did not like the feature so I only ever put passwords on my phone. And I only have passwords on my phone when I am at home so my children do not get into my phone. So when I was working last night I had no password whatsoever. Now I cannot put any type of password on my phone without verifying a fingerprint that I never put in the phone

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Security and Clear Credentials. Now try creating a password again.
