Fire HD7 won't load apps from Play Store

Hi, everyone!

Today, I got ambitious, and finally side-loaded the Google Play Store via the four APKs method. The app store now loads, and let me sign in just fine. I can see and search for any app in the store. (Yay!)

The problem I've run into now is that no matter what app I attempt to install from the store, all I ever get is 'waiting for download' showing in the top section of the app info in the app store itself. It never downloads and installs the app.

I'm stumped, and the google is coming up blank. Any ideas?

You try clearing out cache,data, force stop Google play app?

I did, for both the play store app and the google Play Services app as well. Forced stop, cleared cache, restarted the kindle, then relaunched the play store. No go. Play Store itself works fine, but I can't actually use it to load the apps.

It happens both wifi and data ?

It's a kindle fire, so it's wifi only. I went into the settings to change it to data only, and back to both just to try it. Still no love.

Make sure no VPN your using, also maybe delete and reinstall everything.

No VPN. Home wifi connection. Did a factory reset on the kindle first, installed the Amazon updates, then did the four files in order.

Attempted to uninstall today.... It won't let me uninstall Google Play Services.... I can clear the cache or manage space, but force stop and uninstall are grayed-out...

That's strange , you installed it with APK files ?

I did. I removed the three I could, reinstalled those three, and restarted with the same results. i.e. the store opens fine, but the apps won't download.

Yeah not sure what else to say , as this stuff not orginal that came with the device, ill try see if I can find some articles about it later .

That's the article I used for the installation instructions and links. The troubleshooting steps there weren't much help and don't cover my symptoms, though I tried them all anyways. (No luck).

Yeah not sure then .

you are talking about a kindle fire hd7, it was released in 2014. it could be that it is too far out of date for most apps. It does not help that it is not a true android device.
