EDIT - LINKS ARE DEAD NOW

New Fire OS can be downloaded from Amazon servers. Since I can't post links, go to XDA, find Fire phone sub forum and you'll find all that you need. I'v got this update OTA, but for some reason Amazon didn't push it globally, but as I said, it can be downloaded from Amazon. There are three versions available: AT&T, O2 UK and Deutsche Telekom version. People from US with unlocked phones are using AT&T version, and people from Germany are using Deutsche telekom version.
Google services was working great for few days but after latest services update from Google services are not working. New stuff in this ROM: smart dialing, ability to change wallpapers on home screen, new lockscreen notifications, ability to disable preinstalled apps, ability to select data speed mode (edge, 3G, LTE) etc...

I just got the update. Have no idea what has changed. Not even a post or email.

Edit: Mine is the unlocked GSM version, I'm in the US and currently don't have it attached to a carrier.

Here are some of new features:
Smart dialing,
Homescreen wallpapers can be changed,
New lockscreen notifications,
Added option to change data connection type: Edge, 3G, 4G,
Added option to disable Amazon preloaded apps,
Added option to set 3d party keyboard as default...

Now Android version is KitKat,
Aded option to selectively disable/enable 3d perspective for lockscreen, homescreen and maps

We get new camera options (Finally)

Auto HDR mode, Panorama, and Lenticular, which is an animated gif thing. Screenshot_2015-05-05-08-50-07.png

This OS is awesome. Running so much better. I also have all of the Google Play services running flawlessly! Even Google Wallet!

after the update, i'm now getting a round purple tint on the center of the camera and captured photos. are you guys experiencing the same thing?
also, i can't seem to find the new option to disable the preloaded apps. :(

I have not experienced that and have taken a lot of photos. Any specifics I can use to help recreate?
