Does anyone know what OnePlus support is like, long term, for their phones. By this, I mean, do they continue to offer firmware improvements and upgrades to their phones and the monthly security updates from Google. Also, how long do they tend to support their phones for before deeming them EoL, (End of Life)... a tough question I know, as they are a new'ish start-up.
The reason for asking is that I have experienced phones in the past that are sold, "as is", and hardly received any updates whatsoever. However, on my unbranded Samsung Galaxy S5 which is a little over 2 years old, I have had 16 updates since launch and it continues to be supported, albeit that Marshmallow, Android 6.0.1, will be the last of the platform updates, it should continue to receive security updates for a while yet.
