Hi all,

I have a T-Mobile Samsung Nexus S and resides in Singapore. I skipped 2.3.3 and yesterday I got the OTA for 2.3.4. It's automatically downloaded, but I didn't want to upgrade due to:

1. Facebook Sync
2. Screen color

I think point no.1 is not an issue to most is it? Though I like to have my contacts be linked to my facebook so they have pictures to identify them. Point no.2 goes to the pros and cons, personally I still prefer the pre-2.3.3. look but it doesn't seem that bad when mentioned by ppl. Maybe I could do a comparison with my local Nexus S 2.3.3 but it has an SLCD screen instead.

Please advise!

Also, yesterday, my messages on the phone suddenly got resetted and luckily I archived all incoming/outgoing SMSes to my gmail via SMS Backup otherwise I think I would be screaming away. I also researched abit and it seems to be an Android bug, anyone has any more information and experience regarding this?

Again, please advise thanks!

1. Facebook Sync: I'm probably one of the last people on the planet without Facebook, so can answer to this :)

2. Screen Color: Personally, I found the screen change between 2.3.2 and 2.3.3/2.3.4 to be an improvement. The difference is noticeable, but I honestly didn't think it was that drastic. Others have a stronger opionion about it. Personally, I wouldn't let that stop you from updating as 2.3.4 does include numerous bug fixes, and seems to make the OS more energy efficient. However, not sure what the impact on the SLCD is. Maybe there is none?

As for your messages bug, probably another reason to get 2.3.4 to see if it prevents that from occurring again.

Hi thanks.

1. LOL sure no problem, hope others can help out on this though lol.

2. Mine is the Super AMOLED version. Hmm, if it makes the OS more energey efficient...that be a good reasoning.

3. The messages bug seems to be around through alot of different android versions...

I just contrasted with a 2.3.4 version of the phone, man the color scheme really paled in comparison. =|

Not that I know of, but each individual update has its fixes and stuffs. If you are already on 2.3.3, no reason not to go 2.3.4. It's what those on 2.3.2 are having, like me, an option to choose.

Sigh...
