First Gen Pixel 5" with Android Pie Bad Battery Life

Hi Everone. I have a first gen Pixel 5" with Android Pie. Ever since I got Pie the battery sucks. Any one else having this issue. Suggestions?

Did you just download the update? Sometimes it'll take the battery a day or so to adjust. I lost some battery on my Pixel 2 during the update.

I just got the new OS on my Pixel XL and I can already see a major down grade in my phone's battery life.

I found that for each app I had to toggle the restriction of battery use for each individual app so the battery would not drain in the background I basically restricted all of my apps from not being able to use the battery while they were not in use and that made a huge difference in my battery life

I've had Pie for just over a week and now find my battery life is now dramatically better than it was with Oreo. Give it at least a week before you judge. Also, consider turning off Wi-Fi scanning both in Wi-Fi settings and in location accuracy. Helped me tremendously.

I have the original xl. Been on pie for almost 2 weeks now.
Battery is really bad. I haven't tried limiting apps yet but that seems like a pretty drastic measure.
Really, the only thing I liked about Oreo was the battery improvement.

Been on P since day one. Battery is still awful. Having to charge all the time. No apps show up as big drains. And the phone says the battery is good.

I know it's a pain but factory reset your phones..... you won't believe the difference, it'll literally be like a new phone in every way. Just remember this is the last os upgrade we're getting, so you probably won't need to do another reset....... and if you're like me and planning on keeping the phone for awhile, might as well have it working it's best, not fighting constant issues. ;-)

Battery life is awful but that is nothing new. Only thing that i hate about my Pixel!

My battery drains like crazy on my OG pixel since Pie: October 2018 patch. I even did a hard reset to see if that would help.. it didn't help, I get about 14 hours on battery life and have to charge by 7 pm every evening.
