Got my AT&T S3 yesterday. I am a recent immigrant from WebOS (I still like my pre3), but darn fools HP is, time to move on. Got Cyanogen9 running on my touchpad, so I am a bit familiar with the OS et al.
LTE speed in downtown Atlanta: WOW! Pegged the speedtest meter, speeds 30-50 MB. Stunning!
Overall look and feel: Excellent, wouldn't mind it being a tad shorter, but nice feel, very responsive. All my TP programs downloaded at start up, very nice.
My one complaint at this point is the email program wont let me select "favorite" folders on my exchange server. I make heavy use of folders to separate email sources. Not only is there no one-tap way to get to folders, but the folder list tells me how many emails are in the folder as opposed to how many *new* emails are in there. The email program included in gapps for cyanogen does this, I wonder why this one wont?
I have an old micro-sd card (4GB) I slapped in there, can't figure out how to get ES File Explorer to show me its contents. Settings shows it mounted and the space is available, but...
One thing I was very concerned about was it seeing my 3G microcell inside my house (I dont care about the data side, as wifi speeds are fine), but, notwithstanding my being physically in sight of downtown Atlanta, I have rotten voice coverage inside the house. I have to be "on-duty" for work from time to time, and forward the calls to my cell. I absolutely positively need good signal in the house. The microcell immediately recognized the S3 and is solid.
So, bottom line. I am very impressed. Very neat phone
