Well Fernandez..I locked the sucker into LTE and so far no problems and better battery life. It seemed like it had a hard time choosing between 4 bars of 4g or 3 bars of LTE. Im sure the signal is the phones fault. I have not changed my location habits and there is a difference between this and other phones I have had in the past.
I dont have blinkfeed on..and it did let me disable Facebook itself..just not Facebook for HTC. I dont think its running though ( I checked ).
Iike I said..Ive been getting better battery life after forcing it into LTE only. There are some outlying areas where it says 'unauthorized access' ( or something like that ) when its in LTE only..but Im working and couldnt be bothered with a call or text anyways.
Honestly I dont use GPS often enough to worry about it over heating like that anymore.
Its just coming from another Flagship phone..well I guess Im having nitpicking issues lol. Its a fine device sure..just with some features I could do with and without.
Well, that just proves my point that a better signal will drain less battery. I have no way of knowing what is available in your area and could only assume you didn't have a decent signal. I have faced the same problem you had in my home in the past with all my devices. When hspa+ first came out my devices were constantly switching between 3g and hspa+, causing horrible drain. This was caused due to constantly switching between towers. I ended up having to get a Microcell. I don't really blame a device for this. It is only doing what it is designed to do. Although I do believe all manufacturers should add an option in the main settings menu to lock n to a certain band. Would you describe what you did to get the M9 to lock on to LTE only?
