First number in my keypad sticks

I have a Nexus Galaxy. When I use the keypad feature to dial a phone number, type in my voicemail passcode, or type in any numeric sequence, the first number that I press in the sequence sticks. It creates a long tone. The balance of the numbers in the sequence do not have this problem. The sticking and long tone only happens with the first number in the sequence. As a result, when I hit enter after typing in the number, the phone does not recognize the number sequence. This causes an invalid number message. Does anyone else have this problem, any suggestions or solutions?
