First post-Lots of questions

Never posted before, but have looked for the answers and havent seen them. Also, I dont know all the abbr. etc that you all use so bare with me.
1. How can I combine all emails into one folder ( I have gmail and a college account)
2. With the emails can I change it where my sms and emails have different ringtones instead of the same ( I would prefer my emails to be silent)
3. I would love to use t9 on the front screen any way to change this or do I need an app, if so what app? ( I have seen something about Better Keyboard, but dont know if it has what im looking for)
4. On facebook, only some of my contacts synced with facebook, is there any way to sync my other contacts with facebook?

1) You can put add your gmail to the "email" app the same way you added your other email accounts. Then your gmail will show up in the "email" all combined inbox. However, you will not get push gmail to that account.

2)You can change your emails to silent by going into the app, hitting settings, then click on ringtones and select silent. Or you can download a program to help you with your profiling needs.

3)I think you'd need an app for this.

4)If you selected to sync only the contacts in your phone, then the only ones that would sync would be the ones where the names are spelled EXACTLY the same.

Thanks for the quick replies.
I didnt add the gmail on my phone they did it for me at Best Buy, so Im not sure how to do that. Can you tell me the steps?
Also, is there anyway to go and add my contacts with their facebook now?

You just click on the "email" app, add account, then just type your name and password. Since it's a google account that should be all you need to do. If you change the names in your phone and then sync again I think it should work.

for the option of t9 on the screen look for "better keyboard" in the android marketplace.. u have to scroll through 100 skins but you will find it and then you can set the keyboard as you like.

In the Facebook settings, select "Sync all". That will put all your facebook friends in your contacts lists.

Go to your contact list, and find the facebook entry that didn't sync with your existing contact. Open it and try to "Edit Contact". It will tell you that you can not edit facebook contacts. On that screen, click menu and click Join. Select the contact you want to sync it with.

When you're done joining facebook profiles to contacts, go back to your facebook settings and set the sync option back to "Sync with existing contacts". All the facebook friends will disapear from your contact list.

Be warned, often it will rename your contact to their facebook name instead of the contact name you gave them. Hopefully you don't have too many friends that think it's cool to not use their name and get stuck with that in your contact list.
