Ok, so I just got the infuse, switched from iphone 4, and I'm trying to figure out how to change the 4 stationary icons at the bottom of the screen. For me it shows email, dialer, web and apps, but from other screens I have seen them switched up a bit. How does one do this?

Thanks in advance.

This method (for the Captivate) works. Have to be on the apps screen though.

Tap application icon, then tap menu on the device (thats the button on the left side of the home button), then tap on view type, then select customizable grid, tap menu and select edit.

Let me know if it works for you

Welcome to the forums new Android guy! I love it when I hear people switched over from Apple to Android. These forums are very helpful and are some of the best on the internet. Youve came to the right place. No question is a stupid question, especially not from a person that has there first Android phone. Once you stick around and keep messing with your phone, youll start to learn a lot about Android. And you'll feel good knowing theres so many more possibilites then that, uhhhmmm, Papple you had before :)

And the Samsung Infuse as your first device is a fantastic decision. Welcome aboard!

Hi....since you said no question is a stupid question. I have one for you. How do I change my text message notification. I thought it would be as easy as just going into the settings and clicking on sounds. Then changing it under notifications. But, they didn't work.

go into the sms app click menu then settings and at the bottom there are notification options if you do not touch this all of your notifications will be the one you set in the sounds setting but you can set individual ones for gmail email and sms etc.

Glad to help! thats what we are here for! :D

If you want all your notifications to be the same in the sms settings just set it to default and that way you only have to change it in the sounds setting.
