First, this is just an FYI on what I am working on and progress being made.
I am not and will not upload anything for public consumption until I am sure it works as well as I can make it work, so please do not ask.
Second, If anyone would like to assit in what i am doing then please PM me and I will share what I have/know. The above restrictions apply to what I share.
Now the news.
I have made the first steps towards opening up our Marquee to custom themes/mods and custom kernals.
Some of the dev's from XDA Opti Black forum have helped me learn how to "deodex" our stock ROM and I now have this completed. The deodexed files have been pushed back onto my phone and so far are functional without any noted slow-downs or crashes. I haven't used/tested this enough to declare it 100% yet.
This at least will provide an open base for people to start doing custom themes and mods once (and if) I release it. Please don't get excited and think that this will allow you to use Opti Black themes on your Marquee. Opti Black is on Froyo and Marquee's are GB, so not all parts of a theme will work (please correct me if I am wrong here) and you could/probably will mess up your phone if you try.
Also, I am trying to figure out if and how to improve our existing kernal to help with performance and battery life. This may take awhile and will hinge on the Opti Black boys ability to get our Marquee GB ROM running on their phones and then helping me do some reverse engineering.
