Android Central Question

Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice regarding what tablets may meet my requirements below. Asking this community as manufacturers and shops don't really list some of this info in device details and it's a bit of a jungle out there

Fully understand if some have to be flexed but it's a starter for 10.

Requirements:

Instant (near instant) wake/start-up
Battery life of days in stand-by mode/asleep rather than hours
MiraCast or other casting capability for streaming to smart tv
Ability to connect external hard drive, Drift Ghost and Digital camera for file management (or alternatively external hard drive and SD/MicroSD cards...perhaps via USB adapter)...having done some research I understand this can be done using OTG adaptors...
Primary use will be web browsing, email, video streaming and file management for external hard drive (I don't have a PC or laptop as well)
Ability to connect keyboard (wireless, wired, or tablet specific, no preference)
10inch (ish) screen although may be flexible as this is approx not having one in my hands
Less than £300, preferably less than £250
Any form of HDMI port is a bonus but not a necessity
Bluetooth would also be a bonus

Thanks for any help or advice.

I really don't know the world of tablets all that well.

Instant (near instant) wake/start-up
Not going to happen. Both Android and iOS take time to boot.

Battery life of days in stand-by mode/asleep rather than hours
Almost any one. (But if it's going to be unused for a few days, turn it off.)

MiraCast or other casting capability for streaming to smart tv
Almost any one, or you can use a Chromecast and run Google Home.

Ability to connect external hard drive
With an OTG adapter (which is a dollar if you order one on eBay from China).

Drift Ghost and Digital camera for file management (or alternatively external hard drive and SD/MicroSD cards...perhaps via USB adapter)...having done some research I understand this can be done using OTG adaptors...
Yes, or by using the Drift App for the Drift Ghost or an app for your camera if there is one.

Primary use will be web browsing, email, video streaming and file management for external hard drive (I don't have a PC or laptop as well)
Again, all of them.

Ability to connect keyboard (wireless, wired, or tablet specific, no preference)
Same thing, OTG or Bluetooth.

10inch (ish) screen although may be flexible as this is approx not having one in my hands
Just stick to name brands. (Chinese devices are cheaper, but some of those companies last just long enough to have a batch of devices made and sell them, then they open under another name, and if you need help your only option is to buy another device.

Less than £300, preferably less than £250
Again, many of them.

Any form of HDMI port is a bonus but not a necessity
As I said, some have, with some you can use Chromecast. (If you're looking for HDMI input to the tablet, you're not going to find it. Phones, tablets and computers are video sources, not consumers - unless you buy a package (hardware and software) that will cost more than a computer - and only run on a desktop or pretty expensive laptop.

Bluetooth would also be a bonus
All of them.
