As has been mentioned elsewhere, the Android Central app is no longer supported, and is no longer in the Play Store. No word from the main AC staff if a new app will come out in the future.

Didn't realize it was pulled from the Play Store. I have zero interest in using the web browser from my phone so once I can no longer access the forums via my app I won't be posting much if at all.

Guess I didn't realize such app existed, I've been using the standard AC app with news and forum access since I started posting here years ago.

As long as I have a forum app I'll be around.

Here's the link: AC Forums App. It's always been a more robust way to access the forums than the Android Central app (but it has also had its share of glitches recently).

What about using this link ( forums.androidcentral.com )on your phone's browser? It may not be ideal, but it's an option!

The forums have been pretty much separate from the blog for a long time. I think the forums have a lot of value in and of themselves, since it's a great community where people can discuss any Android or tech issue, regardless of whether it's addressed in the blog.

I don't have any great insight into what the blog editors (under Future PLC) intended, but I do know that the changes were supposed to bring the AC blog site more in line with other Future PLC sites like Tom's Guide, Space.com, and PC Gamer. The change in software platform for the blog was what precipitated the loss of the comment section (none of the other sites support comments -- whether this is a consequence of the software platform or a conscious decision by the management to eliminate comments is beyond me).
