I recently rooted my phone (moto droid) and then overclocked it. Or is now a but snappier now and am happy besides the fact that my wifi doesn't work. I read this while reading about overclocking my droid but i cant seem to be able to figure it out. There doesn't seem to be as much information on this. Can someone give me a little help? thanks!

Two options download droidrootpro from the market and it can reflash the wifi kernal or check out Tasmanian droids thread at alldroid and he has the kernal for download that you either push through adb or terminal emulator

An easy way would be download the file above then use root explorer to move it from your sdcard to system/apps then just click it and install.

I bought the app off of android market (droidrootpro) and used it's wifi fix option and still no wifi. I restarted and mounted system still no luck. I looked at the forum for alldroid and that didn't work either. @youngchrisg That's not my problem. I don't want to tether. but thanks.

Oh lol. How embarrassing. Sorry I misunderstood what you were asking.

I would try flashing a new ROM and see if that fixes your wifi or if you have made a back just try to restore your droid.

droid root pro isn't supported from the developer anymore so i don't think it will ever be updated to work for the evo. rom manager might work with it but i am not sure. rom manager is a better over app and well worth the investment if it is compatible with it
