Just noticed this on my phone. On the left of the front facing camera lense there seems to be a flap or piece of plastic in the shape of a semi circle. I can't see it while looking at it head on, but if I tilt the phone so the camera faces my left ear I can see it. Is this supposed to be there? Anyone notice this on theirs?

You think taking it in for repair would do more harm than good? It's past the 30 days and I didn't opt for insurance. Some tech told me a while back that phones taken apart don't fit 100% ie gaps here and there.

Looks like the screen isn't mounted right. Your screen near the speaker looks VERY sloppy too. Mine is perfectly flush. The camera isn't concentric with the window but its far from obstruction. Does your face cam even work? I can't see the lens.

Guys at the Sprint store won't touch it unless the object actually obstructs the cam. He said I could send it into Samsung but I would be without a phone for 3-5 days. Guess I have to wait until the camera is blocked...I kind of hope it does and kinda hope it doesn't. Fitment might not be perfect if they open her up but if they don't, that thing will bug me untill I forget about it.

Well i guess if its working then no harm done but that would drive me crazy lol

Sorry slow response here. This is why I recommend everyone get there phones at best buy and use their black tie protection policy. Its $10/mo but replacements are free. I was told I could literally throw my phone on the floor in front of them and all would be fine.

I had the same issue with my device I simply peeled up the side of the screen and pushed it over. It is just a little gasket deal.

Here's a pic. Is that supposed to be there?

I had that on my first epic and it did not affect the front camera's performance at all - the iris of the front camera is very small - in case you are wondering, I exchanged my first epic for the one I have now becasue it had a cracked chrome plastic piece that went around the keyboard.

But to answer your question, I would not bring it in unless it is actually harming performance - you could actually very rare cause other problems just form disassembly.
