I didn't wanna post this because I was sure its been talked about before but I can't find it anywhere. I wanna install the official Verizon jelly bean on my rooted nexus. Right now I'm running bugles beast. Everything I read says I have to be on stock 4.0.4 but why can't I just put it on the phone restart into recovery and flash it just like I do every other ROM? Can I do that?

Because it's not a ROM, it's an OTA, which patches your stock 4.0.4 system up to 4.1.1. Why the desire to run stock JB, out of curiosity? Bugless Beast should be a great ROM and was recently updated with the latest AOSP build.

I had another jelly bean ROM and it was slow and froze up a lot so I downloaded bugless beast and it works a lot better as far as being fast and not freezing but my GPS doesn't work as good and I have a pair of Bluetooth head phones that I use to listen to music and it seems sense I put bugles beast on my Bluetooth single is really weak

Sounds like you didn't do a FActory Reset between flashes. ;)

As stated, you have to go back to stock ICS to use the "official" vzw JB OTA. That said, I don't know why you would want to. The biggest problem with the vzw version is that any issues you may have will not be addressed until vzw decides to approve any update...meaning many months from now. The biggest advantage to running the non official JB ROM's is that problems are fixed and released on a daily basis. You'll always have the latest base code, plus fixes, plus enhancements. I understand that you had an issue on another ROM, but I'd suggest trying a different one. CM10 Euroskank is my favorite, but there are a number of other solid ones you can try as well...AOKP (very solid ROM, and I know it's stupid, but I can't get past the unicorn), Codename, CM10 and a few others.

Between TiBu and a UI/launcher app like Nova, you can restore your apps and home screens in a matter minutes.

Thanks I'll try cm10 and see how that works out.

I loved it at first, but now my phone is REALLY slow. Love the dialer mod, and pretty much everything but something is making me run slow *looking up cm threads now*

I gotta quick question about official jelly bean for vzw gnex. My friend got a replacement phone from Verizon because his was messed up so he asked me to set it up for him so when I did it went through everything like normal then it asked me if I wanted to add a credit card to wallet. I thought Verizon didn't want Google wallet on there phone? Did they add it for jelly bean?
