Flash?

Ok let me start off with an apology I am very new to this and someone helped me get my new ROM.

To "Flash" something i need to access the ADB shell...I have done that in the CMD window, i forget the rest of the steps i think im close but it wouldn't give me a dir. of commands once in the adb shell.


I am wanting to "flash" a theme onto my ROM..i tried putting "flash<space>nameoftheme.zip


Help is definitely appreciated I am getting there lol.

u flash it thru your custom recovery on your phone,first you put the zip file on your sd card then go into recovery choose install zip from sd,card then select choose zip from sd card,pick your theme and say yes

So by opening the zip from sdcard thingy ok i can do that

you dont open it on the sd card you place the zip file on your sd card then boot into recovery and flash from there.if you put a rom on your phone you should also have a custom revery

the easiest way to get into recovery is to use quick boot you can get the app from the market or adb just type reboot recovery
remember make a nandroid backup before flashing just incase things go wrong or you dont like

Did you read any of the guides? All of these questions are explicitly answered therein. The folks here have taken the time to write it out so that this is easy for those who follow the directions.
