Flashable Zip

Can I make my own flashable zip? I hate having to install my apps on my SD card everytime I install a new ROM. If I can, how would i do that?

You could manually mount them prior to flashing though, right?

You could get on a file explorer like root explorer and zip the file you want

You can, but it is the update-binary and the updater-script that tells the recovery what to do.

I found this app that says it does just that. It's called App2zip. I used it to make a zip of all my user apps, but idk if it will flash ok. Next time I switch roms I'll try it out and let you know.

Nope, it didn't work. I made a .zip of 28 apps while I was running gingerdx. I flashed Bobz CM9 with gapps, rebooted a couple times, and tried flashing my .zip. I got an "Error 0" and it wouldn't install. Shame, it was such a cool idea. I'm gonna keep monkeying with it.
