Flashing to metroPCS

So I just order an Sprint Optimus G LS970 from eBay that has a bad ESN. I have a working phone on the metroPCS network that is tied with an LG Beacon that has a good ESN. I plan to use it as a donor phone by taking the ESN from the LG Beacon and writing it to the Optimus G LS970.
Will this be possible?

What is the best way to go about this?

Since the bad ESN was with Sprint, would I even need to clone the ESN or could I just dial *228 to get the phone automatically programmed?

Im in the same situation. . But my donor phone is an evo. . I found out how to do it but i have to search again.. ill pm u with the link if i find it...
