Flawed Finger Print scanner

So we all know of about the issues with finger print scanner not working with particular cases. However, I just came a across a friend of mine who has the T mobile LGV10 model LG H901 who's finger print scanner works as it should with his Right index finger. The problem is he only has one finger print profile. His right finger. What he showed was it works with his left index finger as well. After a couple presses with his left index finger the phone unlocks. Now I tried to use my fingers and it would not unlock. Has any one seen this?

That is strange. Mine works great, with or without the otterbox defender. Only problem i have is when my skin gets dry and calous or i wear out my fingerprints smooth... Manual labor etc.

I currently have 4 prints scanned in,,, right and left pinky and #1. To hopefully increase my odds
