Flip the video output of Droid X

I'm new and thanks for your help.

Droid X battery is good but not good enough to watch hours of movies, youtube, and video podcast. I usually plug my phone into my computer and pop on my BT headphones and chill but... my dang usb cable is always in the way when I want to prop up the phone.

Is there a way to flip landscape video so the usb and hdmi port are facing up and out the way?

Cool. So when I get Froyo, I can flip the landscape video. I'm new to the Forum, is there a way to receive a notification that someone commented on my question?

Yeah I've installed both of the froyo leaks and the phone display now flips to either side for landscape, for video or anything.

You can go up top and click 'thread tools' > 'subscribe to thread'

Is anyone seeing the same ability to rotate with the official update? I got it this moring, eager for the rotate feature for the same reason as OP, and am sadly dissappointed that is not working. The browser rotates either way now but video opens and stays in same landscape to the left leaving the usb on the bottom. I'm using the Act 1 video player if that makes a difference.

I think it may be a issue with Act 1 because I am using Meridian Player and it rotates either way without issue.

I still have a copy of the ver. 2.1 Gallery on my DX, and the Video Player, which I presume is with that Gallery works fine to either side. I confirmed that Act 1 and the Movies players don't. Glad I kept the old one.

Yes. Go to User CP (look up under the Android Central logo), then click edit options in the left-hand column. scroll down to where it says default thread notification.

Thanks Wildman! I got the Meridian player and it works exactly as I needed. It actually looks pretty cool, I'll probably switch and use it for my go to music and video player. Is it worth the 2.99 for the upgrade?
