Thought I'd take an informal poll to see how many with the Verizon version of the One have the screen not flush at the top.

Mine is flush at the bottom but I can feel it at the top when I pull down the notifications.

Not a deal breaker, but my 14 days are up Thursday and want to swap while in that time frame.

Slight rise at the top, flush on the bottom.
I have personally looked at 7 new phones and every one had something wrong with it. A lip on the screen was hit and miss. The most common issue appears to be with gaps. The other was overly recessed power buttons.

Exactly what I experienced when looking to purchase a One. Best Buy offered to open several phones and every single one had a noticeable gap above the power button. While it would not bother some it sure did me and I opted not to buy one.

Overall great phone, build quality concerns most specifically with the gaps turned me off.

I say as long as there are no dents in your aluminum and no gaps along the outside, then keep it. Even if the screen isn't flush. My screen is flush on bottom but just a slight lift on top, this doesn't bother me. What bothers me like most others is gaps or dents in the aluminum. As long as you get a phone that doesn't bother you, i would say then you are good to go.

My display is slightly sunk towards a corner at the bottom and yes, there's a small gap right next to the power button. Both are hard to notice, so I'm still happy with my One.

My aluminum part is perfectly flush at top and slightly higher than the screen at the bottom...

I just got a brand new one (have actually had a couple that I had sold) and every single one has had a gap at the top. You can actually press down on the gap and see it close. That's an issue to some (myself included). I haven't decided if it's a deal breaker for me. This is such a beautiful phone but I'm insanely anal and I know that would get to me over time.
