I recently updated my lg g4 to the latest OS software update. when i put my earphones in the phone my fm radio is not playing at all
but if i record something i can listen to it on my music

You can try wiping the cache partition to see if that fixes he issue.

If that does not work you might have to do a factory reset. Most of the time after big updates a lot of things get a little messed up. Usually wiping the partition cache fixes it but sometimes it takes a factory reset to clear out the issues. Make sure if you do a factory rest to back up all your data.
