Hello everyone,

My Incredible just showed up and one of the first things I did was try the FM Radio. Well I'm using some old iPod headphones but the radio was only playing all static. Does anyone know if there are special headphones that I'm supposed to use?

Thanks,

the headphones serve as the antenna. did you try it outside ? or away from any equipment that may be interfering ?

I didn't try it outside, I can't get away from my desk right now but I'll try in a little while.

Thanks for the tip.

One of the reviews I read said they had the same problem using 2 different headsets. Maybe the FM radio in this thing doesn't work so well.

According to CNET's review:

"In addition, there's an FM radio, but it requires a headset with a built-in tuner, which Verizon does not include in the box."

Where can we find such a thing?

i think cnet is wrong (big surprise)

the headphones cord is used as an antenna, but the actual tuner is built into the phone

The tuner worked a little better with my expensive Sony headphones. It managed to pick up one station and also play a lot of static with the station. I'm outside Philadelphia but I'll be closer to the city this evening and will test to see if it works any better there.

more like most of the time. :p

as far as the radio goes, the quality of the headphones probably have less to do than either your location, and the length of the headphone cord.
