Focus issue when taking video

I was taking a video of my dog earlier and I was doing the tap to focus thing. It would focus on her and then go blurry and have to make a few attempts. Would unchecking 'lock focus in video' help with that?

I have same problem. What I do is while shooting I keep my finger on the screen and it locks the focus. Not good if your shooting different things moving the camera though.
