Fold 2 screen issue

Samsung. I know, I haven't seen anything reported like this either. I'm not even mad so much, I'm so confused... I have the note ultra so I'm fine but I waited a month for a foldable phone that doesn't fold... I don't have words right now. Hopefully no one else experiences this.

They should rename the Fold forum to Fold2/Fold if that's the way they are gonna do it and not give the 2 owners their own section.

Eh, it's not a high volume model so a Fold 2 is not needed compared to other phones.

Talked to Samsung. She said most likely it's the screen protector that under the screen protector they don't recommend removing... I am returning. I've lost trust in the phone sadly. She said I could take it into a Samsung store to have them replace the "screen protector" but there's no way I'm doing that with such an expensive phone I had to wait a month for. Really hope no one experiences this.

Oh my. That makes my heart sink into my stomach lol. So sorry. Hope you get it replaced. I saw someone do a video on YouTube awhile back on that happening to their z flip.

Sorry you don't want to go thru a replacement. I totally understand. Hopefully that just some random occurrence and it doesn't happen to someone else. Did it make a breaking sound or anything when it did that?

It made a popping noise after it was fully shut for about 2 seconds while I was looking at the front display. I did end up ordering a new one tonight. I'll give it another shot.

There were several of these on reddit the first couple of days after release, seems minor though in scope, but sucks for OP. Most don't have this issue.

The bend The display is incapable of folding flat on itself, which will always leave a little gap between the two displays. With a phone that is not only priced so high, but also sporting brand new technology, this leaves the Z Fold 2 susceptible to debris getting between the screens and could end up wreaking

Update. Just received new fold 2 after returning other one with defective screen. New one shipped very fast. Didn't expect that. This one doesn't seem to have the issue. I have folded and unfolded many many times.
