Fold and Flip - Drop Test

I think most people that say these phones are fragile don't have one. I use it just any other phone.
Yes sir that's the way I like to roll with it. I just use the phone I don't worry about anything extra that I would not do with any other phone..

It does make sense to not buy something you don't have confidence in.

I think most people who worry about durability on foldables are worried about the screen cracking or failing though rather than withstanding drops.

Maybe, but to say something is fragile you don't own is misleading also.

Folds are not anymore fragile then any other phone. You drop it you risk breaking it. I've dropped my fold 3 on rocks, just like any other phone I've dropped I was cringing picking it up to see broken screen. It was fine.

Inside screen, yes if you have 3 inch fingernails and like to dig them into the screen you will leave a mark. It takes a little force. Anyone that has the spen can see what force it takes. I've pushed the spen down forcing the tip to retract on the inside screen, it takes more pressure then I expected. No screen damage

This video shows that it can take a few falls. It's like every other phone, if it hits right it will break, it's glass. I use the fold exactly the same way I use any phone. I'm going camping this weekend, I'm taking the fold and not I'm not any more concerned then any other phone. I use it at my job driving in a dusty gravel parking lot and no issues.

This is my first fold, so naturally I was a bit "shy" on handling it. This video helped ease it a bit for me.... Good stuff
Use the phone and enjoy it. I've been saying since fold 2 that the phone isn't as fragile as the nay sayers are saying. A lot of the people saying it's fragile don't own it and don't know. You drop the fold, just like any other phone you risk breaking it. Put the insurance on it and be covered. The prices of all phones now days I put insurance on now days.

How you liking it so far?

I agree, folks are more worried about how long you'll be able to open and close the phone before the screen fails, or how easily the screen will scratch.

I have bigger worries. There's a lot of fold 2 and 1's for that matter out there that are doing fine.

I'm absolutely loving it! Thanks for asking. Haven't played with a new phone like this, probably since my first note or even when the LG Voyager came out (showing my age...lol)...

It's not you they have to convince though, you're already a fan.

There are still a lot of sceptics out there... And honestly, while the barrier to entry is still a grand, that scepticism is healthy, understandable and warranted.

There's always sceptics on new technology. Some don't even have it and say it's fragile and other stuff.

Samsung has done pretty well on the fold imo. Glad you're liking it.

I want to see test being flung out your hand like when as kid use to skip rocks over the water, now that's a realistic test isn't how most phone's go flying?
