On Android v7 there was a folder in root directory called "data".
I created in the past some subfolders and copied some files there.
When I connected from WinPC to the smartphone through USB cable I could see all these folders and files successfully in WinExplorer.
So it must work somehow.
Then suddenly a few weeks ago the content was not visible any more through USB connection.
It was only visible through FileManager Apps on the SmartPhone iself.
Why?
I must have changed accidentially something .But what?
As a work around I renamed the old folder to "dataold", then created a new folder "data" and copied all content from old "data" folder to new "data" folder.
....and bingo! all files and folders in new "data" folder are visible (again) through USB connection.
However the non-visibility in the old "data" folder is strange.
How can this happen?
Thank you
Peter
