Folder on home pages

I would like to add a folder that points to media (videos) on the phone but I don't really get the Folder option.

Adding a new folder is blank, but I don't see a way to add anything to it.

Is it possible to add a folder that is a link to another folder in the system?

Just put a shortcut to "Photos"...

Press down on an application widget and drag it to the folder. The purpose is give you access to your most used apps.
