For all the techies out there, please help a Newb out

All,

Long time blackberry user recently coming over to Android for the first time with the Galaxy S3.
I spend a tremendous amount of time in my car for business and with my car's Nav system, I've always been able to read my emails with the blackberry. In doing a bit of research, it seems your phone must have Bluetooth MAP profile installed and maybe even BT 4.0. Well, my Galaxy has MAP and 4.0, but I'm only able to read text. Please tell me what I'm missing and possible solutions? Is there an app that would allow this or simply a setting I don't know about?
Doing a search turns up some questions, but nothing that answers mine. Thanks in advance.

What are you trying to do exactly?

just use the s3 AS the cars nav system... dont bother with the cars inbuilt one mate. gmaps navigation is ecxcelent man and the screens big enough
