For anyone bothered by the blue tint...

Did it get less noticable over time? So far, my Pixel has been the perfect phone aside from the blue tint, and I'm still undecided whether it's enough to return my device.

Mine is not really blue at all. It seems to have diminished from what it was but it was never real bad

Nope it's still noticeable but mine was never really bad. If it bothers you return it and hope you can get one with less tint.

God it's so unnoticeable I don't get it. Maybe if u use your phone while it's on your desk a lot?

I've had two in the last five days and the blue tint is only noticeable from an angle. I don't understand those that are bothered by that, but like I said I'm on my second and doing another return tomorrow. My issues are some kind of spot in the camera lens that was internal, and now a single dead pixel on the screen. I've been disappointed with the QC, but the blue tint has been no issue for me.

It's there, it's always going to be there...

Using the phone normally, it's a non issue. But once you try to use it at an angle it will be there.

I saw a light blue tint at an angle when I first looked for it.
I don't use it at an angle so I simply forgot about it.
Had it not been for all the hysteria I wouldn't have even noticed it.
I love this phone.

Hey all,

New Pixel 2 XL, yes it has the blue tint when viewing at angle, what's the big deal? Is this a new way to use you phone that I don't know about?

My friend does notice his blue tint but he says it's not nearly enough that he notices it. Perhaps he got used to it.

How often do you view your device at an odd angle? IS the blue shift bothersome to you? Do you otherwise love the phone? I think you know what to do. ;)

Actually pretty consistently. I'll glance at my notifications while the phone is laying on my desk, I'll have it positioned on it's side while I'm in bed watching something, and it will often shift into different angles when I operate the phone one-handed. So I'd say I catch the blue shift in one way or another literally every time I pick up the phone.

I just got the pixel 2xl today coming from a note 8 and I can definitely see the blue tint. Huge difference between both displays

I equate the Blue Tint drama on the 2 XL to the Notch drama on my iPhone X. Before I got the phones I heard ALL about the blue tint and the notch. Once I got them I noticed them about the first 20 minutes and haven't noticed them since.

Soon as I picked up the phone I dove right into the setting and apps and never even thought about it. I don't notice it unless I look for it.

I was fortunate enough to get one with no blue tint. My buddy, on the other hand, not so lucky. Even with his slight blue tint, we both agree that it isn't an issue.
