Ok so i have a question to the early adopters. One of my main problems with android has always been the stuttering and hitches along with the most of the time unsmooth scrolling. In apps like google music, the scrolling is terrible, or even in the browser sometimes. Has that sort of thing been smoothed out or does it still have the tendancy to be not as smooth as wp7 or ios?

This was my primary reason for wanting the Galaxy Nexus.

Then I rooted my Charge, installed a custom rom and now the lag is completely gone.

I shouldn't have had to hack the thing in order to get it to work the way it's supposed to, but it's lag-free now nonetheless. There is little to no reason for me to upgrade to a Nexus having done so, and I never thought I'd say that.

Lol terry uve lost ur mind, ive used every rom possible on the charge as well as overclocking it, and this phone isnt half as smooth as wp7 or ios, not even close lol

It's not as smooth as IOS scrolling between homescreens but in Google music and the browser it's just as smooth. Sideways scrolling in the music app is snappy, vertical scrolling is very smooth. I've always wondered why they couldn't make it smooth throughout the whole OS like IOS but, it's not a deal breaker.

ICS is definitely a improvement over previous versions of Android but not quite there yet everywhere. I think Apple is more experienced in this because IOS is based off of OSX which is smooth also. I would think Microsoft has a advantage also after years of creating software to work with hardware of all kinds.

To the op and the couple of others in here, I see you're on the charge. I have had mine since release day.
Yea after loading a custom gb rom it runs fine and the screen is still one of the best out there.

I just want a gn cos its the hottest thing on vz...and I am a phone freakazoid.

To the ops question...I'm fairly sure the ICS user experience will be a real treat.

I'm using a very bloated sense 3.0 rom on my old incredible and the only time I lag is when installing apps, so i don't know what awful things you're doing with your device....

i have absolute no lag whatsoever on my Dinc2. you cant get it to stutter swiping any page or screen. of course it takes time to open apps and the like but nothing unexpected. 115 Market Apps. 80 Amazon Apps. Your standard fair of widgets. Rock solid!! Also, to the guys comparing android to an iphone, have you ever used an iphone? they stutter! they have apps that take a long time to open. im sure 4S is better but 3gs and 4 suck.

I also have a DInc2 and was surprised how smooth it is. It has a little lag when scrolling but not much. Not bad for an outdated, single-core phone. My wife's iPhone 4 for is smoother though. No surprise there, but such a boring phone.

Can't wait for the Nexus though, as long as it's a bug free phone.
