For people who had an S21 Ultra and now have a S22 Ultra how much of an upgrade is the camera?

I only got the S22U today so haven't really tested it much, only taken about two dozen photos with it.

On first impressions, it seems like it's the same quality as the S21U. If there are differences, they'd be very subtle, to the point that you wouldn't notice them unless you compared them side by side, and even then I think you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

One thing I notice is that there is noticeable shutter lag. I press the shutter and the capture/vibrations comes a little while later, however it does seem like the photo itself is taken when the shutter is pressed. I can press the shutter then immediately move the phone, but the photo will be a clear shot of when J pressed the shutter. I remember with the S21U, the capture was actually taken later, when the vibration happened. It *seems* like this has been fixed, but I'll need to test it more. Also need to see how it does with moving objects which is another thing the S21U struggled with.

But to answer your question OP, the difference of the camera between the two phones imo is negligible. It's not worth upgrading to the S22U if you're expecting camera improvements. I'll take more photos during the week, but I feel like I've got an idea of how the camera performs with ~12 hours with the phone.

Thanks for the reply. What about the much hyped "Nightography" that's supposed to revolutionize night photos?
