Can you share your thoughts on battery life? I am getting a tbolt tomorrow and LTE isn't in my area. I was just curious.

My battery life is pretty good. Not quite as good as my OG Droid, but I can usually get through the day and I just put it on the charger at night. There are a couple of tweaks you will want to do, such as the Blockbuster bit (you can find it around here, if not just ask), but without 4G, I am doing fine.

I've been off the charger for about 7hrs and my battery is @ 86%, so 14% used in a 3g area.

On 3g only it is pretty standard for an android device. I came from the Droid 2 and the Thunderbolt's battery is comparable to it. Not quite as good but it's not too bad.

I can get right around 10 hrs of moderate usage (email, facebook, twitter, texting) before the battery turns yellow (30%) in 3G area.

I am in a LTE area, but if I turn off the 4G radio to use 3G only, My battery life increases 2 to 3 times that what I usually get when on 4G, so it's a noticeable difference. I don't know if it would be the same I was in a 3G area but still had the LTE radio turned on.

In terms of battery life:

WIFI > 3G >> 4G LTE

I went 20 hours on 3G last Saturday and still had 40% battery left...On 4G, I'd be lucky to have gone 12 hours and had anything left.

Yeah, life on 3G is just fine, particularly if you have a good signal. I use Wifi a good bit, but I've never had a day (at least while not traveling) that I had to recharge midday.

Right now, 2pm, moderate use. I'm at 63%. Taken off charge about 8:30.
I keep the 4G turned off unless I travel to a 4G area.

Ditto here. I have mine set to 3G only and the battery lasts as well as my Blackberry Storm 2's did. I use the "LTE OnOff" app to toggle between 3G and 4G.

Thanks for the responses. On a side note, are you getting about the same 3G speeds?

I'm probably the only one not wow'd by 4G, I've tried it when I'm in Charlotte and for basic web browsing 3G is great. And I keep my phone on the charger when possible and charge it most nights, but even when I don't, I can get a full day out of it...

I am in a 3g only area and I take my phone off the charger about 5am, I usually have between 20 and 30% left by 10pm. I do have it on wifi at home, so that's about 4 to 5 hours on wifi. I would say I'm a moderate user, I'm on Facebook and Google talk all day, surfing the web at lunch, and occasional texting and calls.

if i use the LTE on/OFF app and i switch it to 3G only, will I lose simultaneous data/voice over 3G?
